I really, really wish this was financial viable. I was willing to pay $18k for an 8-10 Kwh system on my roof (new roof ideal layout 4/10 pitch pointed south no shade). I kept getting estimates around $25-30k , When DIY was $12-15k. If I just invest the $30k at 5% I will get a 50% higher return versus savings. Oh well, I might just do it myself or wait until there is a better system available.
