My original solar edge inverter lasted near five years. This year after something went wrong with the original inverter I had a replacement inverter installed. The new inverter blew a fuse in less than 2 months. The company took about a month to repair that issue and now three months later I find out my system hasn’t been producing electricity since 9/11/23. So now I have to go through the arduous task of robot chats to try and get a technician to my home to confirm there is no ac power to the system when I can see the box lights aren’t lit up anymore. Problem is they have poorly manufactured products that don’t seem to last more than a few weeks. You will be constantly trying to get a tech over to your house. And they don’t make it easy to call and talk to a person. In fact I haven’t spoken to a human at Solar edge. And the installer only communicates via text message and by communicate I mean he may or may not text me back. Depends on his mood. I’ve even called him from a blocked number. He will answer if you block your number. Anyway. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. BAD MANUFACTURING. Other companies I’ve called are saying they get a lot of calls in regard to servicing solar edges inverters. Indicates poor manufacturing. And poor customer service. Save your money. Look at my experience find a better company; ANY OTHER COMPANY TO GET YOUR PANELS, INVERTERS or any solar products from. Solar edge is a horrible company in my opinion. I’d rather let the planet die from carbon emission gasses than get panels from solar edge again.
My 2 year old HD Wave inverter failed May 2022 and it took 4 months to get it replaced. Here we are 1 year from the installation and my inverter is down again. My system has been down 5 months in the last year and a half. What's that lemon law rule? How about the Magnuson-Moss warranty act? Time to do some reading
I have been waiting on this company to send a replacement inverter that’s UNDER WARRANTY for going on 4 months now… I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND SOLAR EDGE TO ANYONE!
My SolarEdge inverter has failed after less than three years. My solar system installer says that it will take SolarEdge a good TWO WEEKS to deliver a new replacement inverter! So I have a solar system that is WORTHLESS for at least two weeks because SolarEdge's inverter failed, and they can't or won't provide a timely replacement under their warranty. This is costing me money and inconvenience!
