Worst company
I've never dealt with a more unorganized, unresponsive, awful company in my life. Nobody helps you at their call center, nobody cares, and they are helpless to do anything at the Southeast Asian call center when you do get through to someone. They've cost me thousands of dollars in damages in delaying the closing of escrow on my home and have taken 4 months and counting to remove and reinstall my solar panels after getting a new roof. Absolutely unbelievable that they are still in business.
Stop the scam. My name is David Beede from Bayamon PR. Sunnova came to my house and looked at my electricity bills and recommended a 4.4Kw system. They said it would save money. I signed the lease of $180.00 a month. It took 6 months before it was installed. They installed the monitoring apps so you can see what energy was being developed from the solar panels and how well Tesla's backup batteries were performing. I immediately noticed that the maximum power of the solar panels was 3.9KWs. I called the service manager and was told that what was in the contract is just an estimate, and I said that the system is working properly. Before installing the system, I paid on average $212.00 a month. After installing the system, I received a bill from my electric company for 79.45. That means I'm now paying around $260.00 a month. They said if you want to contest the issue, take it to our arbitration department in Texas. I live in Puerto Rico. I later found out that ConsumerAffairs.com program the Sunnova company had a 1-star rating of 97% and was rated as the worst. Consumer protection offices in Puerto Rico have been fighting Sunnova for years and couldn't help me. The contracts mean nothing to Sunnova. Warning! This is a scam!

I live in Puerto Rico. While in Home Depot, I talked to a Sunnova sales person telling me how I would save money. They calmed to my house, looked at what power I was using and quoted me a system. The contract says the solar panels will produce 4.4Kw of power and included a Tesla Battery backup. I signed the contract for $180.00 a month. Sounded good because my electric bill was $212.00 about per month. After they installed the system, the app they install on my PC and phone showed only 3.9KW peak at 12 noon, then drops off. It also showed the system didn't charge the battery to 80%. Also it showed only 65% of the power to the house came from the solar system. 35% was being pulled from the power company. After a month and half, I got the power companies bill and it was $79.45 and when you add the $180.00 paid to Sunnova, I am paying now $269.45. So now I am paying more money. I have complained that the contract say the solar panels will produce 4.4KW and I am best peak power is 3.9 KWs. They said the system is functioning perfect. They said what was on the contract is an estimate??? They said you can take it to the arbitration committee in Texas. What? I live in Puerto Rico. Everyone, go to ConsumerAffairs.com and you will see a 97% 1 star ratings. The government has be investigating Sunnova. Stay away from Sunnova!
See the photo attached - Sunnova is claiming that my solar panels are generating power at midnight. Apparently, the sun in the Sacramento area never sets and the sun is as bright at 2 a.m. at midnight as it is at 2 p.m. How can someone lie so blatantly and treat users as fools? Only Sunnova has the guts to do this as they want to steal every penny from you without any respect for either God or people.
